Intra oral imaging is a hand held camera, the size of a pen, which is used to video the inside of your mouth. The coloured pictures are then instantly displayed on the monitor so you can see what is happening to your teeth and gums. The image is magnified and also will help us see in those hard to reach spots, therefore making it easier for you to make a decision when you can see and understand your dental health and why we are recommending a solution.

The vast majority of patients we see, no longer want old silver amalgam fillings. So having a composite filling is an excellent alternative, white composite fillings are a mix of glass and plastic resin, they are strong and durable and cosmetically superior to amalgam, although these are usually reserved for small to average size fillings.

A simple dental extraction may need to be carried out under local anaesthetic due to a tooth being badly damaged, decayed, it could be impacted causing overcrowding or more space may be needed for orthodontic treatment. This is normally a very straight forward procedure and once completed, we will go through anything you need to do to stay healthy and provide a speedy recovery.
